Happy New Year with the Seasons Giving Blog Hop!

Hello and Happy 2016!

Welcome to the Seasons Giving Blog Hop,  a thank you to our blog readers and followers.
There are about 100 participants in this hop and everyone has a give away!  That is a lot of free goodies!
 I am grateful for all of you who stopped in and left snippets of kindness and love;
everyone's time is valuable and I know you have as much or more
on your plate than me, so
THANK YOU!
Thank you for sticking with me!
Also, a big Thank You to Latisha Yoast for organizing this yearly hop!
Did you find as I did that 2015 just sailed by? Every year I have so many
goals, desires and new ideas and it seems every year goes by with those
remaining untapped.
One goal I have every year is to comment more on your blogs.  Unfortunately I was not too successful in that area.  I do not have good internet and that really makes it tough.
That won't stop me from trying again this year though!
A second goal was to craft for me and
be happy with what I crafted; success!

On to the blog candy-
Fun Stampers Journey stamps, nip; Top Dog Dies border die, nip; Unity Stamps small stamp kit, nip; Technique Tuesday stamps and matching dies, nip; Pebbles oversized paperclips
*Please note, due to costs, I can only ship to the U.S.

Coloring.  What a comeback it made this year!
I was thrilled as another goal of mine was to improve my coloring.
And then there was watercoloring.  Did you get into the
watercoloring craze?

Melt My Heart

Hello and Happy Christmas week, Everyone!

Friday was my last day of work until the new year- Yeah!  I usually wind down on Friday nights; this past Friday I worked up a Valentine card using this adorable snowman from Unity.

I paper pieced his hat and colored the rest with Copics. I think the font in the sentiment is fantastic!  Crystal Effects was added to the heart beneath the sentiment.
I used the sketch at Happy Little Stampers~

I am also linking up to Unity's December Challenge, 'Holiday'.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a Blessed Christmas!

Another SugarPea Sketch!

Welcome back, Everyone!

We have a new sketch up on the SugarPea Designs Blog and to give you time with all of the Christmas festivities, this sketch will go for 2 weeks.

I adore this sweet shepherd!  He is from the Lost Without You Stamp Set.  Love the sentiments in this set, too!   I used the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies to give my panel a finished edge.  And the sketch is pretty awesome, too!  I can see me using this sketch multiple times.

I was also inspired by this month's challenge at Pinterest Inspired Challenge~

I think you can see how I was inspired.  :)
I love the look of zentangle; I need to do it more often.  This shepherd's coat seemed to be the perfect image for tangling. Have I said how cute I think he is!? !

Check out all of the fabulous inspiration on the SugarPea Designs Blog or you can click on the blog roll links below and leave a little love for the team!

Worked in a Little Verve and MOJO Monday

Hey Everyone!

Just a quick post this rainy evening in St Louis.  I have been busy all weekend trying to get my house back in order since I have been doing some significant remodeling.  Took a wee break to play in the MOJO Monday Challenge, which I have been neglecting lately.
Of course, this sketch gave my fits as I have not been working with a lot of layers lately.

Here is the sketch; I used negative space for the 4 small panels~

I also turned the sketch 180 degrees.  I just received new Verve goodies and could not wait to play.  Using this sketch was the puzzle.  I ended up creating a wreath with the small sprig from the new Happy Place stamp set.
So sorry for the poor quality picture.  I remembered last minute that I needed to blog this card and of course it is now night time and not the best of lighting for pictures.

Thanks for popping by,

Lee Ann  :)

My card features this gorgeous image from Unity Stamp Company.  This was one of those 'have to have' images- I know you know what I am talking about!  :)
She is simply colored with Copics.  I tried to keep things simple to focus on the image.   Some SU wood veneer snowflakes and my fave twine, Hemptique, finish off the card.

SugarPea Designs Sketch!

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!
And it is a Happy Wednesday because every Wednesday means a new sketch for SugarPea Designs!
I am sooo excited about today's sketch as it is my first sketch as part of the Challenge Team!

Here is this week's sketch~

Super fun sketch, for sure!  To be honest, this one scared me at first, LOL, but in the end, I had all sorts of ideas rolling around in my head!
I started with the trees from the Have an Ice Day Stamp Set, coloring in blue for a monochromatic blue Christmas.   The Sugar Cuts Homescape Die was perfect for the narrow strip across the circles.
At some point it occurred to me that this could make a great shaker card, although it is hard to see my shaker goodies as the sequins and glitter are hiding behind trees.  The circle background is colored with Copics.  The sentiment, from the Lost Without You Stamp Set, is  heat embossed with white ep and the star is in silver.
I was really stumped on how to finish it off and then I noticed my brand new Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies and voila!  I had  the perfect finished border for the night scene.  I think this is my new favorite die!
I am so excited for this Challenge Team!  I cannot wait to see what you create!  Hop on over to the SugarPea Designs blog to link up your project!
Check out the rest of the team's inspiration below!

And did I mention a prize?????
You can play as often as you like; the more you play the better your chances of being randomly selected to win the month's prize.
Yep, you read that right!  If you use SPD stamps and are the randomly selected winner, you win a $75 gift certificate to the SPD store.  If you are a winner, and do not use SPD stamps your gift certificate is $25.
Can't wait to see you in the gallery!

I am linking up to AAA cards- 'Christmas- Silent Night, Holy Night'

And Addicted to Stamps and More- 'CAS'
And The Paper Players- 'Let it Snow'

Have a blessed day!

A Sketch Challenge- Last one of the Year!

Hello Everyone!
Happy Monday to you!  I hope you had a great weekend; mine was quite productive for a change.  Christmas is up at my house and much needed cleaning and organizing were done (with much still needed) since I have been doing a painfully slow renovation of my kitchen and family room.
Hard to believe, but today's challenge at The Challenge is the LAST of the year!  Yes, I said LAST of the YEAR!  Where has the time gone??
This last challenge is a sketch; everyone likes a good sketch!

Yes, so clearly I took a break from Christmas cards for this challenge.  I have a friend who has been under the weather and a get well card was in order.

I played with a new stamp set from Unity-I just got a big, wonderful, happy mail package from them and you know how it is when you have 'new' in the house- you just want to play with it!
I tried out my new Zig brush watercolors as well.   The border is a Top Dog Die.
And the more I look at this picture, the more I realize it is not focused either.  So sorry or that; I cannot tell you how many pics I took and how many times I tried to edit them.
Ready to see what the rest of the team has for you?

Hop on over to the blog to link up your card- we are looking forward to see what you share with us!
And have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Peace on Earth

Hello and Happy Weekend!

Today I have a fun card to share with you using one of my all time favorite Christmas stamps, Snowy Hello, from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

Sweet, yes?!
For maximum sparkle, I stamped the image on Curious Metallic Cryogen White  cardstock.  I also added a Curious Metallic Cryogen White mat on the Classic Crest Solar White card base.   Using one of MFT's Blue Print Die-Namics, I cut a catiwampus layer from Brown Bag Kraft cs.
'Peace' is cut with a Stampin' Up framelit from Pop Tones cardstock.  I used my favorite embellishment on the die cut- Wink of Stella- to add even more sparkle to the card.
My favorite dark gray is the color, Squid Ink, from the Flavours Gourmet collection.  I used this to die cut the Knobby Branch Die.
Some SSS sequins finish off the card!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Non Traditional with The Challenge!

Hello!
With 25 days left until Christmas, it is full speed ahead on Christmas cards!  Today's Challenge at  The Challenge will move you in the right direction- make a 'Non-traditional Christmas Card'~

Yeah, I kind of took it to the extreme with this very modern and graphic design.  Love the results, but I can honestly say I will never do this again!  Trying to get those pieces to match up was crazy maddening!

I used basic circle dies from MFT, silver cording from SU and a sentiment from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.
Check out the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the team and then link up your card for the challenge HERE!
Thanks for stopping by,

Have a blessed week!
