It's Time for a New Challenge at Skipping Stones Design!

Hello and Happy Friday, Everyone!

It is the last Friday of the month (can you BELIEVE THAT?!) and that means it is time for a new challenge at Skipping Stones Design.  This week we have both an inspiration challenge and/or a sketch challenge.  You choose!

I ended up using both the sketch and the inspiration photo for my card~

I really wanted to play with my Brushos, so created a background with Emerald Green and Turquoise Blue.  The butterfly, from the Victorian Summer Stamp Set is embossed in gold and colored with Copics.  The white die cut swirl is from PTI and helps the butterfly to pop!   The sentiment is from the Healing Wings Stamp Set.  Be sure to check out all of the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the team, then join us by linking up your card and having a chance a winning a free stamp set!

Have a blessed weekend!

Kraftin' Kimmie and a Few Challenges

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

So sorry to be MIA; I am having computer problems and it is really limiting my internet time.  Then there is life, which is getting in the way of crafting time!
It is time for a new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday 'Anything Goes' Challenge!

I am just tickled about this card; OLC are rare for me and this one came together quite easily!  I love this singing duo sponged a night sky and snowy scene.  The pooch and kitty are from the Angel Voices Stamp Set, as is the sentiment and star stamp.
For inspiration, I used the sketch from Happy Little Stampers~

I am also linking up to the Her Peaceful Garden Cat Lover's Blog Hop and am linking up to OLCC Challenge.

A Little Winter Fun!

Happy Saturday, Everyone!

We have a new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps today and it is all about winter!

I had fun with this simple design, which I based on a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches~

I stamped and colored my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image from the Snow Days Klear Stamp Set
The sentiment, from the new set, Happy Winter Days, was stamped on a snowflake die.
As you can see, the sketch is turned 90 degrees and I used the panel for my image, allowing it to fall off the top edge.   Glitter and sequins were added for snowy sparkle.

A little Inspiration at The Challenge!

Hi Everyone and Happy Monday!

I am so glad there is a new challenge at The Challenge on Mondays, because that makes every Monday a good Monday!  This week we have some inspiration for you~

Now this is my kind of Halloween costume- NOT SCARY!  :)

Here is your inspiration~

I love the geometric patterns here!
I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image from the set,  'A Treat for Someone Sweet'.
Colored with Copics and used the outside the box technique to cut my image panel.  Using the sketch from Viva La Verve, I watercolored a frame around the image panel.  To incorporate the geometric patterns into the card, I sponged some diamonds onto the background using a stencil.

I am also linking up to these challenges~

Going Non-Traditional with Halloween Colors

Happy Saturday!
If you are looking for my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge post, go HERE.
So many challenges currently are all about Halloween and Halloween colors, but I am not too much of a Halloween girl.  I challenged myself to use the Halloween colors for a non-Halloween card.

I just had to have this new Unity Stamp.  I don't know what it is about this image, but I just love it!
I was inspired by the following challenges~

Halloween! A Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie!

Happy Saturday, Everyone!

I for one am sure glad the weekend has rolled around.  It was a pretty rough end to the week, so I grabbed some Copics and did a little color therapy.  I am amazed at how de-stressing coloring and crafting is!  Stay tuned for that card on Monday.
Today's card is water colored with Peerless Watercolors.
The darling stamp is the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image, Punkin Family.  I was honored to have this card featured in the fall edition of Scrapbook and Cards Today.  It is pefect inspiration for today's Saturday Challenge, 'Halloween'.

Aren't they adorable???  I kept it simple with a watercolored background, a few sequins, and some Hemptique twine.

I just had to use what I think is my favorite of the new stamps, Becky's
My fox is watercolored with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  The
ornaments are colored with Copics and fussy cut out. I added sparkle to the fox's hat, scarf and the ornaments with my Wink of Stella pen.
The banners were cut with my Top Dog Dies Banners #1 Die Set.
I was inspired by the sketch at Latina Crafter~

Skipping Stones Design Tips and Tutorials Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Tips and Techniques Blog Hop for October!  If you are hopping along you should have arrived from the talented Tanja's Blog
If you have just started, there is inspiration and a lot of ideas ahead; leave a little love along the way for a chance to win a stamp set!

I want to encourage you to look at your design element stamps differently.  This wreath was made from a single stamp from the 'Joy' Stamp Set.

I simply stamped the image in a circle, overlapping the circular element on either end of the image.

Did you notice that I made a fall card with a stamp from a Christmas stamp set?  Get creative with your stamps!  The sentiment is from the Healing Wings Stamp Set

I was inspired by the challenge at The Card Concept~

And a sketch at Viva La Verve~

I needed the inspiration as I was MOJO-less!

If you started at the Skipping Stones Design Blog, you have completed the hop!  If you have not been to the Skipping Stones Design Blog,  it is your NEXT STOP

Day 4 of the October Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!

Hello again!

Are you ready for some cuteness?
Today's peeks from the Snow Days Stamp Set are 'snow' much fun!

I truly COULD. NOT. WAIT. to ink up this stamp!
How fun is this??!!  So I decided that a mountain scene was in order,
but I did not want to take away from the image.  I played around with lots
of ideas, when a light bulb went on to turn a gate fold design into mountain slopes!
The hardest part of this card, besides coming up with the design,
was fussy cutting the ski pole!
Don't forget to leave a little love along the way as you hop around, for a chance
to win some Krafty Kash!
AND...
Don't forget about our online release party Saturday night, right HERE!

Day 2 of New Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Welcome to Day 2 of our New Release Peeks from Kraftin' Kimmie!  Today we have another
fabulous sentiment set from Becky, Christmas Cheer~

I paired one of the sentiments with a caroler from last month's Angel Voices Stamp Set; the two seem made for each other!
So I did something that I have not done in ages- DISTRESS!  These sweet carolers have a vintage look to me, so my little one was dressed in vintage colors- a combination of coloring and paper piecing- and placed on a tattered and sponged card with a heat embossed sentiment.

Ready to see the rest of the awesome inspiration from the rest of the team?  Be sure to leave a little love at each stop along the way for a chance to win some Krafty Kash!

A Few Challenges in Fall

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick post to share a card I made just for fun (always nice to do that!)  after coloring up the image for the 30 days of Coloring Challenge.
I could not resist a few stamps from Unity during their recent new release.  I just had to have this gorgeous image.

This will be for my mom, who's favorite season is fall.  When I think fall, I imagine walking through the woods, quiet and serene.  That is what I wanted to convey.  Beautiful fall colors, but still a sense of quiet.

I was inspired by the colors from Unity's challenge this month-

And by the sketch at MOJO Monday~

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is - Autumn is in the Air
Virginia's View Challenge is all about coloring!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Day 1 of Kraftin' Kimmie's October Release!

Hi Everyone!

It is hard to believe that the October New Release is already upon us at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  The new CLEAR stamps have been a huge hit!  I know I love them!
This week we are sharing peeks of more Christmas and winter stamp sets.  I adore today's peek~Happy Winter Days~Such a fun, versatile and trendy set!

So fun!

The sentiment is from last month's sentiment set, The Magic of Christmas.
I simply stamped, colored and fussy cut out multiple ornaments and shimmered them all up with a clear Wink of Stella pen.  Some bright pink cs and striped washi tape anchor the sentiment.

I used the sketch at Happy Little Stampers-

At Papertake Weekly, the challenge is 'Anything Goes'.
Addicted to Stamps and More- 'CAS'
And the challenge this week at Virginia's View is all about color!

A Sketch for this Week's Challenge!

Happy Monday All, and Happy October!

Goodness, it is that time of year when the days get shorter and the air is cool.  It is a good time to stay in and craft!
We have a versatile sketch for you today at 'The Challenge'~

So, I turned and flipped the sketch to fit my image~

I was inspired by the colors at Colour Q~

And Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-  'Anything Goes'.

I am such an animal lover and I could not resist this adorable pooch set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Canine Capers 1.  I colored this pup with Copics and kept the rest of the card fairly clean and simple, using just a few enamel dots, baker's twine and a button to embellish.

30 Days of Coloring

Hi Everyone!
Just a quick post tonight to share the first of my 30 days of Coloring Challenge piece.

This was the perfect reason to ink up one of my new Unity images.  Love, love, love this poncho-clad gal.  I will get her on a card later.

Hope you have a great, crafty weekend!
