Introducing Cocoa Sends Love

Hello Everyone!

Cardmaking and blogging have taken a back burner here, as I am guessing it has for you as well, with all of the events and Christmas preparations.  But, I did make time for a brand new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Set, Cocoa Sends Love~

The set has multiple sentiments in it, ranging from love to Get Well, but it also works wonderfully for Christmas.  The image is colored with Copics, then fussy cut out.  I placed it in the middle of a large snow bank!  A forest of pines in the back was made with the Landscape Silhouettes Stamp Set.  I added touches of Christmas with the holly image from the new Christmas Borders Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Pine Stamp Set.  The elements are popped upon dimensional tape.  Sequins and some baker's twine finish it off.
I was inspired by the colors at The Color Throwdown this week~

Thanks so much for stopping by, and in case this is my last post before Christmas,
Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Coffee Loving Snowman

Hello Everyone!

Today marks the beginning of Amy Tsuruta's Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, Winter edition!
Check out all of the inspiration- coffee, tea or hot chocolate style- and link up your creation on the blog to join her!

Not sure if it is the busyness of the Christmas season or if I am just worn out, but the MOJO has been sorely lacking.  CAS was the way to go for this warm beverage themed winter card~

I used the sweet snowman from Sweet 's Sassy Stamps' Snowman Soup Stamp Set.  He is colored with Copics.  The background snowflakes are 3rd generation stamping. The snowflakes are from the new Holiday Hugs Stamp Set. I pieced my sentiment together using the new Rebecca Script Alpha and some individual words from other stamp sets.
And this is a SLC, too!  It is not too often that I can do that!

I used the colors in the inspiration photo at Pinspirational Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by; be sure to visit the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog for all the details, including info on prizes!

Have a warm, blessed weekend!

Vintage Christmas

Hello and Happy Monday!

Hope your weekend was a good one!

Today's card was made with the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Stamp Set, Old Fashioned Christmas

This single stamp is a silhouette image, but with the MISTI stamping tool, it makes adding multiple layered colors to this stamp a snap.  I used various shades of greens and brown for the tree trunks.  Once the image was completed, I cut a mask for it and sponged in the pink winter sky.
To create the snow fall, I spattered some watered down white acrylic paint.
I embellished with pine cones from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Set, Christmas Pine

I am linking up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, 'Anything Goes'.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!

Anything Goes with Addicted to Stamps

Hello and Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

It is Anything Goes week at Addicted to Stamps and More.  Since everyone is coloring this month for The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, I thought I would color up this gorgeous new Unity Girl.
I have a niece who is away at her first semester of college.  She is in South Dakota and has already experienced her first blizzard of the season.  :)  So this card will go to her!
I kept the card simple to keep the focus on the image.  A few sequins add sparkle.

I am linking up to Inkspirational, where this week the challenge is,

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you can join us this week!

The stockings were colored with Copics and then die cut out with the matching dies.  Tiny sequins adorn the tips of the stockings and I have added glitter to the fringe at the top of the stockings.
The background was made using the  Stencil Monoprint technique on watercolor paper.

Celebrating 9 Years of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Hello and Happy Friday All!

Korin and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps continues to celebrate their 9th birthday this month of November.
Today's card features one of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps brand new alpha sets, Chunky Alpha, and the snowman from Holiday Hugs.

I lightly penciled in a grid for the lettered background, and then alternated my greens and red for the ho ho hos.  I was inspired by the colors from The Paper Players.  I did not have Mint Macaroon so substituted Pistachio.  The darker green is Gumball Green as I do not have Emerald Envy.

I kept the snowman very simple, paper piecing the cap, using a clear Wink of Stella on the angel wings and then coloring the star in with a gold pen.  He was fussy cut out.  Using my MISTI for perfect placement, I stamped the snowman a second time, directly on the lettered background so that the arms lined up with the fussy cut snowman.

A little Mixed Media Verve

Hello and Happy Friday, Everyone!

I just had to use the new Jolly Jingles Stamp Set from Verve again.  So many possibilities...

Went the mixed media route this time.  Alcohol inks were dripped on glossy cardstock.  silver metallic alcohol ink was added as well, but oddly, did not show up on the photo.  The image was heat embossed on the colored glossy cardstock and fussy cut out.
I used distress inks on the smaller panel; they were actually left over on my craft mat and I rubbed the white cs over it.  The panel was them dry embossed with SU's Softly Falling ef.  The larger background panel was dry brushed with white acrylic paint.  It seemed lacking in something, so I added snowflakes from the Jolly Jingles Stamp Set in both Versamark ink and white ink.
The sentiment is from the new set, Beyond Measure.  To finish it all off, I added white acrylic paint spatters, clear sequins, cheese cloth and some silver cording.
I used the sketch at MOJO Monday

I am also linking up to Happy Little Stampers November Mixed Media Challenge- 'alcohol inks'.

Thanks for stopping by and hope your weekend is crafty and relaxing!

CAS with Addicted to Stamps!

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!

It is time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps; this week is CAS week!

I used the adorable Harvest Mouse Stamp Set for my card today.  Colored with Copics and as I do not have the matching dies, I fussy cut them out.  Sponged a setting and popped some pieces up on dimensional tape.
Used my MISTI to get that oh so perfect sentiment placement.
That's it for me. Check out the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team and then link up your CAS project!

Inspiration for the colors came from Sunday Stamps~

I a also linking up to AAA Cards- "Thanks or Thanksgiving"

For this card I used the Beyond Measure Stamp Set.   I used my MISTI to place my berry images, coloring various parts of the image with one distress marker/ink, stamping, and then repeating with another color.  I spritzed with water as I went along.  The background is lightly watercolored with distress ink.  When all was dry, I stamped the sentiment.
I got a little sketch inspiration from Sketch Saturday

Day 2 of Verve's November Inspirational Blog Hop!

Hello and Welcome!

It is Day 2 of Verve's November Release Spotlight Hops!  Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online shop on Friday, November 4.
Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Beyond Measure stamp set and coordinating Christmas Spirit Die Set.  You should have come her from Julee's blog.  If not, you may want to head there to start from the beginning~

What a fabulous set!  Gorgeous sentiments and fonts plus elegant images make for stunning cards!

I started by heat embossing the small pine image on water color paper.  I added my color using Distress inks- I believe this is Candy Apple Red.
I stamped several of the foliage images and die cut them with the matching dies.  I played around with various layouts and then decided that what I needed to finish it off was the dove image. It is stamped in a blue grey from Memento and sparkly goodness is added with the Wink of Stella Brush.

For even more sparkly goodness, I added a layer of gold behind a couple of layers.  I won't share my secret that this gold paper is actually gold wrapping paper.  Shhhh!
The sentiment is heat embossed in gold and clear sequins are added to finish it off!

From here, you are headed to the amazing Lynn Mangan's Blog!

Christmas and Verve and Guesting, On My!

Hello, Hello!
Welcome to my blog and Day 1 of Verve's New Release Spotlight Hops for November.  That's right- Verve!  I have the honor of guesting for Julee, the owner of Verve, for the month or November!
I have been a Verve fan for a long time; Verve was one of the first companies I discovered and shopped from when I looked beyond SU.  :)  I absolutely love the fonts and wonderful scripture stamps in the Verve collection.
Enough of that!  Back to the release! You should have arrived here from Julee's inspiring blog, Poetic Artistry.  Today we're sharing inspiration featuring the new Jolly Jingles stamp set and coordinating Winter Friends Die Set.

This set is amazing!  There are so many options here- snowman, reindeer, trees and stockings!

And those sentiments with their fabulous fonts!  Just became my new fave Christmas set.  :)
Mr Snowman was stamped on kraft cs and colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  I used the Winter Friends Dies to cut him out. The snowflake background is stamped with an oldie but very goodie set, Glad Tidings.  The sentiment panel is also an oldie but very goodie, the Vintage Oval Stamp and matching die, which is a part of the Die Side Kicks Set.  The image is stamped and heat embossed on that panel.  Some gold thread and clear sequins add some shine and elegance.

I switched from elegant to CAS for this fun card, which uses Rudolph from the Jolly Jingles Set.  I stamped and colored him 3 different times so I could fussy cut parts out to make a dimensional reindeer.  He has a red pearl for a nose. I am linking this up to Merry Monday's Challenge, 'How Will You Decorate Your Door', and Fab 'n Funky- 'Animals'.

The wreath is from the Glad Tidings Stamp Set.

Check out the giveaway details then head over to your next stop, another guest designer, the fabulous Lynn Mangan

Addicted to Stamps Challenge and My Fave Bird!

Hello All!
Happy Tuesday to you!  The challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps is to 'Make Your Mark'.

I must say, this was so doggoned fun to make!  Love him (or her) upside down!  This sweet bird is from one of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps newest stamp sets, How Tweet.  I simply stamped him upside down, drew in the wire, colored with Copics and then masked the bird to sponge in the sky.
The sentiment is from the set, LOL Cats.   The stitched edge was done using a stitched edge die from Lawn Fawn.  The image panel is popped up using a piece of craft foam; that is a Jennifer McGuire trick.  :)

I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch~

I love CAS cards when they turn out how you envisioned them!

Hop over to the blog to check out the rest of the inspiration from the team, then join us and link up your creation!

Christmas with The Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Saturday, Everyone!

We have a new challenge today at The Challenge; this week it is Christmas inspiration~

Unfortunately, I could not get a good pic of this card to save my life.  It is much prettier irl.
Here is your inspiration photo

I used a NBUS Christmas tree from WPLus9; I bet I have had this stamp set for at least 3 years.  Not sure what I was waiting for!  The 'merry' die is SU.  The diecut is from red cardstock and coated in clear embossing powder.  For some reason it wanted to photograph very dark.

I added some PTI vellum, washi tape and SSS sequins to finish it off.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you check out all of the team's inspiration HERE and then link up your creation!

Have a blessed weekend!

New Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today I am featuring the newest stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, Living Water.  It was designed for Bible journaling, but works great for cards as well!

With multiple different 'water images', 'cloud images' and sentiments, you really can't go wrong.
This sentiment speaks to me; it is a wonderful reminder of the Grace that God offers us- something I so often forget.
The background was made with distress inks, the sentiment heat embossed in white.  The sun is from the set Happy Happy.   And how about those clouds!?  Cute, no?!
Finished the card off with a few of my favorite sequins from SSS.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

By the Sea with The Challenge

Hello All!
Anyone glad it is the weekend???  I know I am!  And the best part about this weekend is that I have no plans!  I hope to get lots of things done, including catching up on crafting.  Last week I missed The Challenge as I just ran out of time and cardmaking MOJO.

Here is your inspiration photo~

I used one of my favorite Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Stamp Sets, Beauty by the Sea.
The sentiment is from the Precious Poppies Stamp Set. A few paint
spatters, a few sequins and a few seed beads finish it off!

I was inspired to try the sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch~

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

A 'Tweet' New Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Set!

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today we are featuring one of the new Stamp Sets at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, How Tweet!

And it really is SWEET!

I am crazy over this adorable bird!  He is perfect to pair with the Scribble Flower Stamp Set, which I have done here.
This is quite the mixed media card.  I started with a panel I had sitting on my desk, which was made with Colorburst, clear embossing paste and gold embossing powder.
I was inspired by the sketch at Fusion Card Challenge, so die cut a circle from the panel.  To have my elements fit the sketch, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees.

The tweet bird is colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  Did you notice the googlie eyes I added?   I had him sit on a 'branch'  from the Scribble Flowers set that is embossed in gold.

I am also linking up to The Mixed Media Card Challenge, which is 'Purple and Black'.

I challenged myself to NOT make a Halloween card in using these colors.  I am happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Lee Ann :)
